Week 12 Offensive Player of the Week
The Week 12 Offensive Player of the Week as chosen by the voters of The Best Damn Poll in the Land is Oregon's dual threat QB Jeremiah Masoli.
Masoli led the Ducks to an exciting victory over Arizona to keep the Rose Bowl hopes alive for this Oregon team that has come full circle this season. From a Week One embarrassment on the blue turf in Boise to the present situation that sees this team on the brink of a Pac 10 Championship.
Against the Wildcats Masoli had to lead his team back from a late deficit and was able to throw a TD with under 10 seconds remaining in regulation. In overtime Masoli threw for one TD and ran for the winning TD to end this outstanding CFB game. For the night Masoli totaled 284 yards passing with 3 TD's and 1 INT while also rushing for 61 yards and 3 more scores. An incredible individual performance when his team really needed it.
Now Oregon will host the Beavers in Autzen Stadium to decide who will take on the Ohio State Buckeyes in the 2010 Rose Bowl. Jeremiah Masoli will undoubtedly play a huge role in the outcome of Oregon's remaining match ups.
Congratulations to Jeremiah Masoli for being chosen as the Offensive Player of the Week for Week 12 by the voters at The Best Damn Poll in the Land. Best of luck to Jeremiah in the future.
