Week 11 Defensive Player of the Week
The Week 11 Defensive Player of the Week won the award by nearly a
unanimous vote. Kendric Burney had an incredible game for the North
Carolina Tar Heels in helping to pull off an upset of the Miami
Hurricanes.
Hurricane QB Jacory Harris had a bad day throwing 4 INT's and 3 of
those were made by Kendric Burney. It wasn't just the fact that Burney
had 3 INT's in one game that won him so many votes at TBDPITL. He
turned those INT's into 170 yards in returns and 1-77 yard touchdown.
In a close conference game those 6 points and 3 INT's proved to be an
enormous part of the Tar Heels victory.
This marks the second week in a row that a DB has won this award by intercepting 3 passes from the opponent.
Congratulations to Kendric for being chosen as the Defensive Player of
the Week at The Best Damn Poll in the Land for Week 11. Good luck to
Kendric in the future.
