With so little time left... we got the
Cam Newton story unfolding.. Damn! Not another premiere player takin a fall??? We do have some good news though!
Kellen moore,
Andy Dalton and
Colin Kaepernick are poised to make a mid major run at the
heisman trophy!
Im sure the big boys are already thumbing their nose at the three best "non"contraversial players in all of college football. These boys didnt steal, cheat, or sleep their way into a new computer... They all have gotten to where they are by hard work and humility! Im sure there is a posse right now running down leads and rumours for some dirt to bring down the small school choir boys!
Happy hunting I say! Sometimes a winner is just that and doesnt need to get a leg up on the competition, they are just that damn good.
You can have your big money school....oh, by the way there is some big money floating around
Autzen Stadium these days and it seems not to have made its way into the classroom..

Maybe we need to rethink this whole "paying the players" thing...No Im not saying the Ducks are paying the players nor did I say
Cam Newton is guilty of demanding payment to play ball. What I am saying is that there is just to damn much money floating around and these
Reggie Bush style stories are getting repetitive! What is going on? Is the rent just too damn high?
How about the "local boy make good" story for once! How about we start overlooking the big programs that are always getting in the news for less than honorable practices??? We have some really good kids out there on teams that are shaking the foundations of the blue bloods yet they dont "deserve" a shot or they arent "worthy"..
Let me tell you som

ething! What some consider deserving are these same programs that are continually under investigation for some crap about money or cheating. How about we return to the values of old? Did they Earn it? I can point to a few programs that haven't been under sanctions or been suspended from NCAA bowls and they " Deserve" better .
Getting over looked year after year while the "big brothers" deserve a place in a title game is crap! The time of the mid majors is at hand and watch your backs! These kids are armed and dangerous
with good wholesome values and no bullshit attitudes. Im sure some programs could take a lesson from their little brothers, not the other way around!
We now are down to four undefeated this year and who could have imagined TCU and Boise st. would be back, again...still here. What? VT didnt handle Boise st? Horned Frogs? Where is
Alabama? Where is Ohio st?
We have Auburn who is in the middle of possible scandal with their QB and Oregon who is pounding the crap out of their opponents but Im not sure they can read the menu at Mcdonalds.
Lets talk about the WAC since they are soooo undeserving and the worst in FBS play.. (That sarcasm by the way), It seems there are two forces still in play from the WAC in the top 25... and until the warriors met one of the best team in the nation, Hawaii was headed for a ranking worthy of major conference. Imagine that. 3 teams from the lowly WAC rubbing elbows with the
Crimson Tide and the
Bucknuts, sorry Buckeyes..
There is still some football to be played and I for one havent decided who the best two teams are yet. I do know TCU is kicking ass and taking names ! I gotta say they are every bit as good as the High flying Ducks, and maybe 2 steps better than the team my Bronco's met last year.
We have the Nevada Wolfpac, that is quietly inching their way to a top 15 and a damn good group of players but they just dont have the defense to stop a Auuburn or Boise st but they can score like the Ducks!
Of course there's the Bronco's. Lets just count them out...3 undefeated regular seasons one loss in a zillion games and they actually went back and avenged that 1 point loss to TCU but dont deserve anything because their field is blue.
Lets talk reality though, the end of the season is in sight and the WAC is about to end their last season in D1 play. Boise st. now leads the conference with Hawaii, Nevada and fresno close behind.
Idaho will try to end the Bronco's hopes for yet another perfect season
friday night.. Deonte Jackson, Vandals RB was happy to keep rivalry week spirited by calling Bob Kustra "Boise st. prez" a blue and orange snot! Nice! We'll check back
on saturday morning and see how that worked for the Vandals.
Nevada, after spanking the Vandals in their house will meet Fresno st. in Fresno
on saturday and my boys are hoping the Wolfpac can win. The Bulldogs could bite them in the ass and kill the last decent team Boise St faces this year.
Hawaii went down in flames on the blue turf last week but will try to return to their winning ways by stomping the Spartans from San Jose.. not really hard to do!
The rest of the
Wac is, well, the WAC! But I just dont hear about stolen computers or big money scandals or stuff that makes you deserve a shot at the championship so I guess the great kids from the conference will be ok to just play the game and earn their degree like everyone else.
