Non-AQ, Non Nice, Week 7

This week, I’m going to let the AQ fans write this column.  These are some actual posts from NC State fans after they lost at East Carolina in OT on Saturday….I have added a few comments for perspective, so here goes:

“This must be our WTF loss”…Note: East Carolina has won 8 of the past 14 meetings in the series.

“We need to quit playing them so we don’t lose to them”.  Or this one…

”This is why playing ECU is not a good idea for us.  Win and it’s expected, lose and its embarrassing.”…Note:  ECU and NC State have played 27 times in the last 40 or so years.

“Feel bad for the team to lose to the likes of ECU with those fans and in that crappy city”…Note: Last I looked we have Sandra Bullock, Miss USA and much hotter women.

“Well Eastern Central Carolina State Community College won their Super Bowl”…Ohhh, the old directional school thing, hadn’t heard that one before.  And to imply that beating NC State is the Super Bowl when East Carolina has won back to back conference championships and beat at least 4 ranked teams in the last 3 years.  That BCS moniker has gone to their head.

I was surprised the TD in OT wasn’t reviewed, and that last pick was pass interference.  The ACC crew as usual swallowed their whistles”…Note:  That same crew called back two interceptions by ECU and penalized ECU 7 times in the first half to NC State’s 1 (which was offset by a penalty on ECU).  You bring your refs and then complain about them??

“Bad….Bad…..Bad Loss.  Embarrassing.”  “Inexcusable.”

“Fire (OC) Bible and leave him in Eastern North Carolina”…I guess that must be the worst place on earth he could think of??

In case you don’t think these fans are delusional yet, here’s this one…”We are better than Virginia Tech and EZU and our stupid play calling kept us from winning”

And my personal favorite…”I can’t believe we lost to Eastern and Porkchops”…I don’t know what that means, but in the world of believing you are better then someone else and, when you have doubts, you stoop to calling names, I’m sure it makes complete sense.

Ahh, the BCS and its fans…holier than thou, delusional, name-calling, and downright pompous…in their own words.
