Well if there was ever a time for the Western Athletic
Conference to be relevant...Ok this wont be the time either! Its Boise st. or bust for the WAC cause the end is nigh, the conference is almost assuredly on its way into oblivion...With boise st announcing this summer they are taking their marbles and moving to the mountain west with nevada and fresno st in tow, the WAC is going to be the stuff that oozed out of the bottom of the barrel and left a stain on the floor.
Boise St ranked in the top 5 this season is about all you need to hear about in the WAC cause there really is no other point to what else happens. The Bronco's may just have a shot at the title if they can beat VT in maryland in their opener..but.it would take lots of splaining' to break down all the thing that have to go right for them and all that has to go horribly wrong for everyone else, so we'll just have to say good luck with that, and congrats on winning the wac...Yawn, Snore, ZZZZZZZZZ...

Nevada opens the season with a win against Eastern Washington, I'll bet they are glad its not on the new "red" carpet the Eagles will be sporting at home this year! Nevada may hold the upset card for Boise late in the season if they meet an undefeated Bronco team in november. Nevadas' Colin Kaepernick is the wolfies best chance to make some noise and lead them into the mountain west on a wining note. I like the wolfpac, really I do...great bunch of guys, and they show up for a game once in a while! I see a winning season for them and possibly finishing with #2 spot in the dead WAC
Fresno St will do it "any time any where"...what that means, Im not sure, but if it has to do with football, its likely to be a
beat down, let down. They open at home against the bearcats and unless cincy leaves the team at home I dont see a good start for the bulldogs. They are a tough group and its hard to run over this team without good tires on your mountain bike. The bulldogs can surprise you and bite your ass if you forget to keep pedaling after you run them over. so I see them just above .500 this season and high hopes for their future in the MWC...SHHH ...we dont want crush their hopes, they think they will be relevant there!
Lousiana Tech, (more bulldogs) could have a little something to say this season, like, "What are we gonna eat at half time?" seriously! They start the season against Grambling, ok WIN, but what do they have to look forward to? sure they can play football, but then what...I see this team beating down the door at the exits so they can start looking for somewhere to call home! Tech has a good program and could be somebody but the WAC is not where its at! If they have a winning season it will be a high point as they are a victim in the immenent conference melt down and no place to go but down.
I'm gonna do Hawaii next, who doesnt like hawaii? But this is about football so doing hawaii will have to wait. I really would like to meet "DOG" the bounty hunter...Actually BETH! (his wife), she is sooo voluptuous... Oops Football! Right! The Warriors go to meet the trojans to pick up their first loss and will be fine with it cause they get to do hawaii all the time! Did I mention Beth? Her High beams could light the way for a great season for the warriors, but not at football. :) The
warriors will come out of the wac just fine, they are gonna win some games and go back to the islands and BBQ! I think Independant would be good for them in their future, but Beth's twins have to remain close together! Whew Good thing I said football or you would have thought I change the subject!
Ummm San Jose st... What the hail are they doing opening against Bama? Oh yea! Losing! The WAC is a great place to keep the spartans! So when the wac dies what will become of them you ask? I did say the WAC is a great place to keep them didnt I?
Utah st. and New Mexico st.. 2 aggies! First of all, yes, they are the second set of doubles in the WAC and thats about all I got!
New Mexico starts out at home against the Aztecs from San Diego, I like saying "san diego"! I hate sayin Aggies sounds like...well nevermind! Im picking The Aztecs in this one cause I like saying "san diego"! Oh!.. and USU loses against the sooners...Major Big Time!
So last and very least! The Idaho Vandals...First of all if your going to name your team after criminals, give them some spray paint, so they can be good at tagging helmets! They will attempt to steal a win against ND...NO not the fighting irish, North Dakota..the Fighting Sioux! Idaho won some games last year... Mom told me "if you didnt have anything nice to say, say something bad about the Vandals!" Just kidding! I would say I am impressed at what the vandals did last year but I think I lie to much already! They will be good enough to give my Broncos a run for their money if they had a football team on the field! I am going to catch hell for that one! If you want to catch hell then just go to hell! Thats where the Fighting Sioux will have to pick up their first win!
It has been a long hard summer without CFB and Im glad its finally here! I wish Beth was! I wish I was In Hawaii, but I have to get this artice done and watch some great football this weekend, so Beth will just have to wait!
